The WK Foundation, in partnership with our social enterprise Well Kneaded, provides training to young people in London facing barriers to employment. Together, the WK Foundation and Well Kneaded exist to connect our local community (including the young people we work with) with sustainable, innovative, delicious, simple food through regenerative practises, great hospitality and positive social impact.
Well Kneaded specialises in British seasonal menu’s inspired by Italian food and culture (think simple, tasty food shared around a family table). Our pizzeria in Earlsfield lovingly serves wood-fired sourdough pizzas, small plates, salads and one off ‘pop-up’ menus such as pasta nights and set menus. We also have an off-site events business which serves a variety of seasonal menus for clients such as Facebook, Amazon and The Natural History Museum as well as weddings, and birthday parties. With a passion for sustainability, we source all our ingredients as locally as possible, and work in collaboration with our growers & suppliers to offer a service that helps and not hinders the planet.
Our 10-week training programme aimed at 18 – 25-year-olds called NOURISH, offers individuals a pathway to sustained employment through workplace training and mentorship. Alongside our goal of sustained employment, our aim is to equip trainees with the tools necessary to flourish in a secure sense of identity and purpose.
